Notes:
Designed to support the fleet by attacking large enemy units as part of a
fleet engagement, this class has been the subject of controversy from its
inception. A measure of this is that 4 major variants exist. The Jackal
variant has given up a fire con, armor and pulse torpedo for 2 additional
class 2 batteries while the Mongoose has 2 pulse torpedoes, screens and almost
nothing else.
