Notes:
Cygnus developed this ship for the ESU under the same contract
under which the Leng Wave Cruiser was developed. Unlike the Leng, the
Ubboth was deemed a failure by Everyone. To fit the massive Nova Cannon,
CE had to build a light frame around the main weapon. Because the Cannon
required all the power the ship could generate, armor replaced the
screens found on the Leng. However, even with the armor, the light frame
proved too fragile in combat to make the ship cost effective. The ESU
purchased the required 4 prototypes, but have placed no further orders.
CE does not even show this failed prototype in its catalog.
