Notes:
The Phar Lap class Frigates were designed in response to a request for tender
by the OUDF for an ultra-fast small ship capable of chasing down small, fast
commerce raiders. Apart from a very few designs such as the OU's "Red Rocketsz",
a Phar Lap can outrun anything it can't outfight, and handily outfight anything
it can't outrun.
The Phar Lap is basically a "stripped-down racing version" of standard
Fremantle/River class Destroyer, and shares the same power plant and manoeuvre
drive, but on a hull less than 2/3 the size. Although rather cramped and short-
ranged for an OU ship, it has become quite popular due to its toughness relative
to competing non-OU designs.
