Notes:
The Miyazaki became the victim in a dispute over operational doctrin. The
winning side of the debate sited the need for a small warship equiped for
anti-pirate work in the outer colonies. The opposition pointed out the NAC's
lack of anti-fighter/missile escorts, but failed in the attempt to save the
Miyazaki. Between 2169 and 2173, the Miyazakis were refitted and redesignated
the Minerva class. In 2181, concurrent with the introduction of the Tacoma Hvy
Frigate, some Minervas were starting to be converted back into an anti-fighter
roll as the Minerva/A.
