Notes:
A tremendously powerful, and hideously expensive design, the Dreadnought was
intended to be the ultimate weapon of war for the NAC starfleet. It certainly
is the most powerful starship ever designed by humanity, but its great cost
has so far limited the design to the prototype. So far, the other powers have
not built their own equivalents, preferring more smaller and cheaper units,
such as battleships and dreadnoughts. The NAC may, in the end, do likewise.
While the ship has proven tremendously powerful in simulations, it does not
seem to justify its tremendous cost. Also, it is a tremendous concentration
of resources, and may actually be too valuable to risk in combat, making it a
very powerful white elephant....
